About Me

As a graduate of the Sports Journalism post-grad program at Loyalist College, I can certainly say I'm living the dream, in some capacity anyway.

I may not be making millions but I've had the pleasure of covering various sports to make a living. The fact that I can go to an event and write about it is certainly a dream job and not once have I ever attended a hockey game or any other sporting event I've covered and felt like I was at work.

Hockey takes up a lot of my time in the winter, but I also find myself covering other major sports locally like basketball and football as well. I've also been able to cover some more obscure sports like curling (well, obscure outside Canada anyway) and even dog-sledding - nothing like getting out of bed before the sun comes up on the coldest day of the winter and spending it outside.

My first love when it comes to sports is hockey and that's the basis of Wholesale Change. I get to cover a lot of junior hockey and college hockey with a lot of other levels as well and decided to put my love and my skills to good use by running Wholesale Change.

As for hockey experience I've written for a number of different places since I started in this business including FOXSports.com, McKeen's Hockey and I spent some time as an intern at The Hockey News. More recently, I've worked with Sportsnet as a freelance reporter filing weekly articles on the Canadian Hockey League during the season.

I have also worked with the Ontario Hockey League's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds as a statistician as well as a staff writer.

In addition to Wholesale Change, I work with Village Media, which runs community-based online media outlets across Ontario. In addition to being a part of the central news desk team, I also cover some local sports in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for the company's Sault-based outlet, SooToday.

As for Wholesale Change, we're live on Twitter and Facebook.
